Folding Wing of a Drone
Designed and manufactured a 9 ft hinged wing for a UAV using composite and metallic materials that increased flight time and distance by 50%, compared to original 6ft aluminum wings.
UC San Diego CubeSat Development Program
Researched 1U & 2U CubeSats and planned a high altitude balloon launch of a payload that went 100,000+ ft up in the stratosphere and collected temperature and radiation data.
NASA’s CubeSat Launch Initiative
Authored a proposal for the NASA CubeSat Launch Initiative to build a Lunar Relay Communications Network composing of a stellation of six 2U CubeSats to support operations for NASA’s Lunar Orbital Platform‐Gateway.
SAMPE UCSD
Designed and manufactured a 2ft x 14ft carbon fiber bridge that withstood 25,000 Newtons of force for the 2019 Bridge Competition hosted by SAMPE (Society for the Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering).
SMUD Solar Regatta
Served as Lead Designer for Cosumnes River College’s Engineering Club that built an 8ft pontoon-style wood boat powered only by solar energy to compete against other universities.
Obtained California Boating License to be qualified to drive the boat. Won 5 awards including Best Design, Best Technical Drivetrain, and Judge’s Choice award.
